WHAT IS COLONIC ?

          Colonic is referred to as colonic, colonic`s, colonics, colonic hydrotherapy, colonic irrigation, colonic therapy, colon irrigation, colon hydrotherapy, colon therapy,colon cleansing, or high enemas. Colonic Therapy is an ancient form of cleansing the colon with water.  It is a safe, effective method of removing waste from the large intestine (colon) without the use of drugs.  By introducing purified, filtered warm water into the colon, the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis (muscle contraction).  This process is repeated many times during a therapy session.  Today’s modern technology promotes both the safety and sanitation of this popular cleansing practice.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED A COLONIC ?

         If you are suffering from any of the symptoms listed below, colon hydrotherapy may be valuable for you.*  The effects of cleaning out the colon of accumulated waste material allows the body to function more efficiently with little or no symptoms of disease.  The body gives us signs that all is not well by these “uncomfortable” symptoms!

WHAT WILL COLONIC THERAPY DO FOR MY COLON ?

           Colonic therapy is not a cure, but it is a valuable procedure for a variety of colon conditions.  A toxic bowel is the source of many health problems. Colonic (colonhydrotherapy) may rejuvenate every cell of the body.  A Colonic session cleanses and hydrates the colon, exercises the colon muscles, may reshape the colon and stimulate reflex points.  In addition it helps to release toxins, cleanse the blood, empower the immune system and restore the PH balance in the body, as well as re-hydrate the whole body.

HOW MANY COLONIC`S YOU SHOULD HAVE: ?

     The number of seasons will vary with each individual and their goal for a healthier life.  Some one coming in for a regular preventive maintenance would obviously need fewer sessions than someone with gastro-intestinal problem.  Following your consultation your Therapist will discuss with you a recommended number of sessions needed for you to obtain your health goals.   

THE TYPE OF SYSTEM WE USE: ?

There are two types of systems, the open system and the closed system.  We use the open system called the LIBBE.  The comfortable form-fitted table, on which the client rests, has a basin set into it.  The comfortable form-fitted table, on which the client rests, has a basin set into it.  The equipment is plumbed to the sewer system from the bottom of the basin.

The client’s hips are comfortably positioned at the edge of the basin so intestinal waste will fall easily into it.  An odor exhaust system insures that the area remains odor free.  Water flows from a tank gravity system set in the cabinet on the wall along side the table.  Temperature controlled water flows through a carbon filter, which removes sediment, rust and chlorine, then goes into the water tank.  The water is then pumped up into the water column.

The water flow from the gravity-fed column is controlled by a flow control knob, which is operated by either the therapist or recipient.  The water is purified by an ultra-violet light filter before it passes through the rectal tube, which is the size of a pencil.

The equipment is designed so that the certified therapist or the client may administer the session.  The LIBBE colon hydrotherapy device is FDA- registered and approved and is used safely with great ease, comfort and effectiveness.  The rectal tubes are sterile and are disposed of after use.       

WHAT IS A LIBBE COLONIC OPEN SYSTEM?

          The LIBBE device open system is considered to be the Rolls Royce of Colon Hydrotherapy treatment devices, providing more privacy, dignity and efficacy while offering the client a more relaxing, safe and comfortable treatment session. This system allows the client and or therapist more control of their treatment. One distinct advantage with the LIBBE device is the pencil-thin rectal tube, which clients find extremely comfortable. One of the key factors is that your privacy is protected at all times, since the specially designed bed allows you to easily insert the lubricated thin rectal tube by yourself. Many people find this deeply reassuring and comforting. Once the water flow is turned on, there is no need to interrupt the cleanse. Your colon will gently take in as much water as it can tolerate. When you feel the need to evacuate, you simply release. Because of the continuous inflow and release during the treatment, the body's own muscles are used to provide a more natural, gentle release. At the same time, the peristalsis (action of the muscles of the colon) is greatly stimulated and this provides an excellent workout for the colon. Because of the nature of the LIBBE device, the therapist does not need to be there with you all the time. This affords you as much privacy as you may desire.

IS COLONIC EMBARRASSIG? ?

         Your dignity and privacy is completely maintained at all times in the comfort of our calming and soothing private treatment rooms. During your bowel movement there is no odor with the LIBBE Colon Hydrotherapy open system.

IS COLONIC PAINFUL? ?

           Only in the case of an impacted colon you may experience a slight discomfort. Some cramping may occur as the colon contracts to expel waste. Once the major impaction is removed, you will find the session pleasant and relaxing.
